The Education Ministry at Lake View Christian Bible Church is very fortunate to
have, under the leadership of the staff, dedicated volunteers to lead others to
a better understanding of God’s Word. In a classroom setting, beginning at
9:30 am on Sundays, you will be welcomed into a time of fellowship, prayer and discussion.
For the younger set, Bible stories are told, along with fun activities to keep them
interested in learning about Jesus. We have a Sunday School and Bible Study
class for every age group, or as the Pastor says….”from the cradle to the casket.

Nursery
Our staff of qualified workers is dedicated to making your infant’s stay
in the nursery a time filled with lots of hugs, nurturing, and perhaps even a little
“spoiling.” Parents can leave their precious little ones, with assurance
their baby will be cared for in a loving and well-equipped environment. Soft
Christian music is often played. Christian music videos and other play-sites
are available for the older babies, as we begin their early education on a level
they can understand. In the event the nursery has a larger than usual turn-out,
stand-by assistants are always available. Nursery is provided for all services.

Toddlers
This pre-school group, ages 2 through 4, is led by Brenda McCurdy, the
Pastor’s wife. Full of wonderment and the desire to learn, these little tots
have interactive lessons planned to keep their attention and curiosity going full-speed.
Praise, hugs and love fill this classroom as these little ones learn age-appropriate
lessons about Jesus, other Bible characters and traditional Bible stories.
Simple prayers during lessons encourage the building of a prayer life with God that,
hopefully, will follow these children throughout their lives. Lots of hands-on
activities challenge these toddlers to learn new skills and explore their creativity,
while learning we are made in God’s image.

Children I, II, and III
These three separate classes are for grade-school children, taught by three of our
dedicated members. These teachers give their time and talents to lead these
children into a better understanding of the Bible and what God has in store for
their lives. These children are given a steady dose of encouragement and praise,
as the teachers convey God’s rewards for following His commandments. Lessons
and other fun activities are combined to create a positive learning environment
for these youngsters. |
Elevate
Just one visit to our Teen’s group and you’ll know why our youth program is growing
by leaps and bounds. Our dedicated Youth Minister, Don Vinson, has just what
it takes to guide these teenagers during these impressionable and challenging years.
Don, with his sense of humor and his love for the Lord, encourages these
young adults to overcome temptations with Biblical scriptures that tell them how
to lead Christian lives. His abundant knowledge of the Bible, combined with
his love for the youth, provides a safe and healthy environment for teens to talk
about their lives, to share their triumphs, their good times and bad. Don,
his wife Jami, support these teens with words of praise
and encouragement, and with activities planned to build a healthy relationship with
God and man.

Young Couples
Pastor R. A. and Arlene Evans teaches this class. So, be assured this will be a fun
time for Bible study and fellowship. His class offers a comfortable environment
where young couples can share with others the exciting, yet often challenging, times
at this stage in their lives. R. A. and Arlene guides you with lessons and Biblical
scripture, showing the importance of living a Godly life. |
Singles Class
There's no age requirement for this class. It is designed for anyone who is
single and wants to have fellowship with other singles in a classroom environment.
Join this group as they learn more about the Bible and discuss ways to become the
Christians God wants them to be. New Believers Class Though offered to anyone and
any age, this class is primarily designed for the new Christian. Often
the Christian, though filled with the Holy Spirit, feels the need for guidance as
they begin their new walk with the Lord. This class offers Biblical fundamentals
for new believers, not only for their own lives, but as they begin to tell others
about God's love and grace. |
Adult I, II, and III
These classes are considered “open” and range from young adults to the older generation.
Each class has its own teaching style and format. If you are an adult, looking
for a Christ-centered study time, we are certain you will find the class that suits
your needs. The teachers are devoted church members who give of their time
and talents to teach the Bible as the inerrant word of God.

Wednesday Evening Bible Study
Beginning at 6:30 pm on Wednesdays, the Pastor teaches
God’s word in a somewhat laid-back approach to learning. Usually, a particular
subject is studied for several weeks, in a setting where questions from the audience
are welcomed. Subject matter may be on “The New Testament,” “Fruits of the
Spirit,” “Angels,” “Revelation,” or a host of many other long-term, in-depth studies.
Outlines are given, where notes can be taken and saved for future reference. Sundays
are super…but Wednesday evening is a time for “re-fueling” to help get us through
the rest of the week. Once you come to a Wednesday Evening Bible Study, you won’t
miss the next one. You will want to come back to hear the …“rest of the story.”
While the Pastor is leading the adults
in the evening Bible Study, your school-age children can be taught in a setting
that will broaden their knowledge of the Bible.
Kristy Villarreal leads this study
and invites you to bring your child to her class, for a lesson that is structured to
make learning fun and exciting. Wednesday Evening –Student Ministry called "Elevate"
is led by Don Vinson and a host of other volunteers bring the teens together for a time
of fellowship and Bible Study. Outdoor activities are often planned, as well
as other off-campus events to broaden the teens’ horizons.
