My Blog 6-5-2009
Dear Friends,
This will be the final blog from our trip to Galveston. It has been an extremely great week for everyone.
We have grown closer to each other and closer to God as well. I would like to say thanks to our sponsors and students for all of their
efforts in making this trip all that it could be.
The work was hard, out of our comfort zones and even a bit unusual, however; this
group saw each of these as an opportunity to attempt great things for God.
Today we started out with a great breakfast and then headed to the airport to drop
off J.D. He was heading to wedding
in Tennessee. After that, we proceeded
to the San Jacinto Monument and the Battleship Texas. I believe this was a learning experience for many in our group. After that, we hurried back for a quick lunch and then off to my mother’s
home for a BBQ and some swimming. It
was awesome! After that, we headed to the world famous Hawaiian Shaved Ice in Friendswood. We are now getting our things organized
to go home tomorrow. We will be making
a stop in Katy for lunch and a swim with some friends from my home church and school.
All in all, I have heard everyone say they would do this again. Until next time, Keep Looking Up!
